Cut 7 Lowdrag
The Jaguar "Cut 7" Lowdrag is a rare breed, with only one ever produced. In an effort to meet the new GT race regulations, Jaguar’s Malcolm Sayer created a new roof line for the E type in 1962. The result was the creation of three ‘Low Drag’ coupes that used the same roof panel but each looked slightly different. The interpretation of the improved roof together with input from three different race teams resulted in three different looking Low Drag Coupes. Probably the best known of the three bore the registration number CUT 7. Its sleek and aerodynamic design was ahead of its time, making it a standout in the world of vintage cars. It is made of aluminum instead of steel, which sets it apart from the production. At RJ Panels we are fortunate to have all the correct tooling to reproduce all the body panels for this iconic car.
